Instructions for accessing the Online 4 Hour HAZARDOUS MATERIALS AWARENESS class (This is good for those needing this Prerequisite for Firefighter MOD2)
You can do this online at TRAIN PA.
Here are step by step directions if you are not familiar with TRAIN PA:
1. Go to: https://www.pema.pa.gov/Preparedness/Training-Exercises/Pages/TRAIN-PA.aspx
2. Scroll down to TRAIN PA Access and either create an account or log-in (if you already have an account).
3. Once you are in, go to "Course Catalog" found at the top, right under the words "TRAIN PA".
4. In the search box, type in "Hazardous Materials Awareness" and search. Choose the one that says, "PSFA Hazardous Materials Awarenss".
5. Select "Register" then if you are an EMT, choose EMS, if you are not, choose "none".
6. Next, Click on "Launch" to begin your course.
